Medway UTC students had a great day at the Brompton Barracks Open Day yesterday (07/02/2018). 

The students were given a fantastic insight into what the Royal Engineers do, the opportunities available and how they do it! From carpenter to Clerk of Works or Electrician to Explosive Ordnance Disposal, primarily a soldier but also given a trade with transferable skills for ‘civvy street’

The students were also given a tour of the Royal Engineer Museum and then pitted their wits and skills in erecting a Da Vinci Bridge.

The soldiers and Officers that hosted our students ensured they had a great time, passing on all their experience and answering  a varied array of questions! The students had a fantastic day and certainly had their eyes opened to a possible career in the military, they were a credit to the UTC.
