The School Day:

Students start at 8.30am until 5.00pm on a typical day. This is designed to reflect a ‘real life’ working week and helps to prepare students for future employment. The longer working week means that homework is not usually required and we can offer more support for students as they undertake the bulk of their studies during the UTC day.

Blocks of learning time will be longer than in most schools, allowing students the time to get fully involved in their learning, reflecting practices in the workplace.

The UTC provides an excellent environment in which all members of the UTC community can learn and work, relax and eat during breaks.
